When the "Model Village" was built back in the 1960s, it was designed to have an 'open space' feel to it and so several small parcels of amenity land were scattered around the houses built in Astrey Close, Brian Road, Daubeney Close, Lincoln Way and Monmouth Road.  These parcels of land were then given to Harlington Parish Council by the builders and the Council has been maintaining them ever since.  All of the land has now been registered to the Council with the Land Registry. 

Council's policy with regards amenity land is:  "Not to sell amenity land, to preserve and protect it but to be flexible in particular circumstances".  Full details of the Council's policy and the process is outlined in its policy document which can be found under the Council Documents/Policies button on the menu bar.
